Presentation
A deck is the brand in motion: fixed elements in a fixed place, color as dramaturgy rather than decoration, and every number with a named source.
Scope
Applies to all Tennis-Point presentations in 16:9 format (13.33 x 7.5 inches): management and group decks, all-hands, partner and conference presentations. This chapter describes rules, not tools, whether a slide is built manually, extended from an existing deck or generated makes no difference to the rules. Multi-brand decks (Tennis-Point, Padel-Point, Running-Point, Private Label in one file) additionally follow the three-tier brand separation ladder below. A group deck is a container, not a Tennis-Point deck with guests.
Fixed Elements
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Format | 16:9, 13.33 x 7.5 inches. All position values refer to this size. |
| Logo Ball | Yellow ball bottom right, fixed position 12.36 / 6.79 inches, identical on every slide. |
| Dark Area at the Bottom | Always runs the full width of the slide. |
| Badges (numbers, checkmarks) | Yellow squares, no circles. Tennis-Point has no rounded corners. |
| Light Panel | #F4F4F4, text #181818, secondary text #525252, accent #FAF514. |
| Breadcrumb | 7 pt Roboto in secondary text color. |
The logo ball is a watermark, not a layout element. It never moves vertically, not even to center it within a band, an otherwise identically placed element instantly reads as jumping when flipping through slides. In case of layout conflicts, move or resize the other elements, never the ball.
Dark areas at the bottom edge of a slide always run full width. A partial-width black area is not an element, it leaves the ball sitting on the seam. On a dark background the ball carries the white outline, meaning the logo variant for dark backgrounds, never recolor it manually.
Stage layout (white stage on top with kicker, headline and subline, dark content area below): the stage is a surface, not a content block, and stays static during animation.
Typography on Slides
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Headline | Courtside Sans, uppercase only, default size 28 pt |
| Kicker | Roboto 18 pt |
| Body | Roboto 12 to 13 pt |
| URL, lowercase block | Roboto Bold |
From 22 pt and bold, a slide title counts as a title and is set in uppercase.
Whatever reads as a headline is a headline: a single word at 54 pt bold belongs in Courtside Sans uppercase, not in Roboto.
No text shadows. Legibility is solved through color and contrast, never through shadows.
Uppercase text runs 11 to 22 percent wider than mixed case. Check the overflow before setting an uppercase headline, do not estimate it.
Callout titles stay single-line, guideline value around 26 characters in a 2.3 inch wide box. Bullets need a hanging indent, otherwise the second line starts under the bullet marker.
No em dashes in running text, use a comma or a regular hyphen instead. The typographic title separator between two terms is unaffected by this.
Color Dramaturgy
Yellow is normally an accent and only exceptionally a surface. The shorter formula yellow never as a surface comes from the Padel-Point system and does not apply to Tennis-Point.
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Accent (default case) | Chips, keywords, markers, badges, highlights. Guideline value around 10 percent surface share (70 neutral / 20 image color / 10 yellow). |
| Surface (measured) | Signal blocks, call-outs, sale communication. Used deliberately, never as the default background of a slide. |
| Data Visualization | Data cards on dark background, values in shades of yellow (shade = quantity), all other features such as pins, text and lines in black and white. |
| Geometry | No yellow as a line, bar or frame. Tennis-Point has no accent line, the powerline has been discontinued. Yellow is a color, not a geometry. |
Redlines, No Exceptions
Text on yellow is always black.
Yellow is never used as text color on white. On dark backgrounds (#181818) yellow carries text.
No black outlines around yellow elements, meaning no strokes on pins, legend dots or badges.
Division Colors
Division colors are brand colors, not flat-UI signal colors.
Tennis-Point
#FAF514, black text
Padel-Point
#0071EA, white text
Running-Point
#AEF73C, black text
Light-Dark Rhythm
A deck is neither fully white nor fully dark throughout. Color surfaces run positive and negative as in the brandbox. An all-white deck reads as empty, an all-dark one feels heavy, and a slide-by-slide alternation reads as striped.
The switch is dramaturgy, not chance. Dark marks a connected stretch: chapter change, numbers section, highlight moment. Within one stretch the color world stays put.
Screen and projector live in one file. The high-contrast version (dark content area) is the screen variant, the light version the projector variant. Both stay maintained in the same presentation so they don't drift apart.
Ratio of light to dark: roughly 2 to 1. For every two light slides there is roughly one dark one. A guideline, not a quota.
Dark areas always run full bleed. If the dark area serves as the background of the whole slide, it runs across the full slide. If it splits the slide horizontally into an upper and a lower area, it runs full width. If it splits the slide vertically into left and right, it runs full height. A dark area leaving white on three sides does not exist.
Brand Separation in the Deck
A binding three-tier ladder. Check question before every slide: is the brand here an exhibit, the host of the slide, or just a topic?
| Type | Situation | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1: Brand as Exhibit | Claim reveal, rebranding showcase, logo introduction, campaign motif as content. The other brand's identity is the point. | Fully in the brand's own system. Padel-Point, for example, uses Fugaz One uppercase #181818 (white on image), Fira Sans for body text, accent parallelogram #0071EA (horizontal bar, ends sheared 9 degrees, not a rotated line), monogram bottom right, no Tennis-Point yellow. |
| 2: Slide Dedicated to a Brand | Sport, category and audience slides within the deck's shared slide grid. | Grid, fonts and structure stay deck CI. Accents carry the brand color: label chips in the brand color with contrasting text, all accents in the metrics band in the brand color, and instead of the Tennis-Point ball, the brand's white wordmark sits on the right of the band. |
| 3: Brand as Topic Only | Business news, partnerships, figures about a brand within the flow of the deck. | Fully in the deck's own CI. |
Tier 2 applies generally to every slide dedicated to a brand, meaning sport slides just as much as audience slides. Swapping the ball for the wordmark is not a case-by-case decision and is not renegotiated per slide.
Application
Typography instructions such as Uni Sans becomes Courtside Sans apply only to Tennis-Point slides, never to tier-1 content of other brands. Padel-Point is not a Tennis-Point offshoot, the same applies to Quiet Please, Bidi Badu and Private Label.
Always pull logos from the brand sources, never rebuild them.
Theme boxes and color surfaces from foreign source decks carry no brand value and are replaced.
If the motif itself delivers the brand accent (example: blue court in the image for Padel-Point), the accent line is dropped without replacement.
Clarify tier assignment when in doubt, but with a proposal and reasoning, not as an open question.
Editorial and Language
Text adds to the graphic, it does not repeat it. An org chart already shows the mechanics, the text next to it delivers the intent, meaning what is hoped for from the structure, not who does what.
Consistency across slides: the same fact needs the same number. Discrepancies usually come from different time periods or from rounded versus unrounded values. Carry percentage values at full precision until output, round only in the last step.
Every number and every claim needs a named source, visible in the panel title, the source line or the note. This matters especially for small or non-representative data, which then carries its sample size.
Keep chart and legend labels short, move resolutions and sources to the footnote.
In English decks, decimal commas become periods. 11,5 Mio reads to an English reader as eleven thousand five hundred, that is a meaning error, not a style error. English thousands separators must not be changed in the process.
Genuine search queries and quotes stay in the original language, translated they would be factually wrong.
Humor in presenter notes only works when it is substantive, meaning it is about a specific person, a real circumstance or self-irony. Meta jokes about the presentation, the slide or the process fall flat. Keep the density in check: roughly two solid laughs per minute, not four.
Animation and Timing
Animation makes the order of thought visible. It is a metronome, not an effects show.
Default timing 300 ms. Header elements such as badge, kicker, headline and legend fade in, content blocks arrive as a short float-up from below. Everything runs automatically after the slide transition, not per click per element.
One beat per group. Within a group, a cascade offsets the elements by 150 ms. The offset does not multiply into its own group beat, otherwise groups overlap and the slide feels restless. The cause of stutter is simultaneity, not duration.
Heavy elements fade in instead of moving. Large images and blocks with many individual shapes (maps with pins, charts) run as a fade, not a float, because every movement has to recompute them frame by frame.
Whatever belongs together visually runs on the same beat. A thin line directly under the header belongs to the header. An element added later inherits the timing of its own card, not that of the next neighbor.
Slide transition: fade, 700 ms.
A structurally correct file is not yet good choreography. Timing and start behavior can only be judged in actual playback, not in a preview that only renders the end state.
Checking completeness means counting animated elements against total elements per slide, not the number of effects.
Standard Slides
Five 16:9 slides on a dark ground. The text is set as vector graphics and works without installed fonts.
Break: SEITENWECHSEL.
Questions: FRAGEN? / WIR MÖGEN LANGE BALLWECHSEL.
Closing: THANK YOU. turns into ADVANTAGE YOU. via Morph.
Copy from the set, do not rebuild. The three closing slides stay together, hide the middle one when exporting to PDF. Morph needs PowerPoint 2019 or 365.
