Physical Marketing Material

Everything that gets printed: posters, notices, flyers, forms, POS and packaging. Part A applies to all of these media. Part B defines how much yellow a carrier can take, depending on the distance it is read from. Part C covers packaging, the most detached context.

Part A · All printed media

CMYK Reference

TP Yellow

C0 M0 Y100 K0

Greyscale

Pure K, derived from brightness · no CMY component

Black

K91 (text) · C60 M40 Y40 K91 (surface)

White

Paper white

The binding reference is the proof print against #FAF514. Grays via K channel only. Type under 24 pt, lines and fine elements in pure K (no Rich Black); Rich Black only for areas and large typography from about 24 pt, prevents registration errors.

Color Space and Delivery Formats

01

If print, then CMYK from the start. Print files are built in CMYK, not converted from RGB at the end. No RGB objects in the print PDF, convert images to CMYK before placing them.

02

Digital stays sRGB. A separate sRGB version is created for screen, web, social, newsletter and presentation.

03

Deliver separately. The print version and the digital version are two files with clear naming, for example suffix -print-cmyk and -digital-srgb. Never one file for both.

04

File size is a decision based on recipient and channel. The production file sent to the printer can be large, full resolution. Anything shared by email, chat or ticket attachment gets a delivery version that stays in single-digit megabytes. There is no fixed limit, but no double-digit MB over such channels. Both the production file and the delivery version are kept on file.

05

Check before delivery: color space of the output (no RGB remnants in the print PDF), bleed and marks per the printer's spec sheet, file size matching the recipient.

Company name and address

For everything that goes out: imprint, footer, contracting party, offer, packaging details.

Tennis-Point Europe GmbH, Hans-Böckler-Straße 29-35, 33442 Herzebrock-Clarholz, Germany

Not "Tennis Point GmbH" and not "Tennis-Point GmbH". The company name also applies to Austria: tennis-point.at runs through the same company with the same address; there is no separate Austrian sender. Padel-Point is a brand of the same company. Footers and imprints from older documents or templates are checked against this entry, not copied.

No-Gos (all print media)

  • No colorful gradients · No full-gloss finish · No foreign typefaces · No Courtside Sans in lowercase · No white on TP Yellow (contrast 1.2:1) · No ball icon as pattern or wallpaper · Yellow as a surface only according to reading distance (Part B, does not apply to packaging)

Part B · Posters, notices, flyers, POS

Reading distance decides the yellow surface

Yellow is an accent by default, used as a surface only deliberately and sparingly as a signal. How much yellow a carrier can take depends on the distance it is read from. Adopted from the distance tiers of the sale guideline.

Far

from approx. 5 m

Full surface allowed

Shop window poster, facade, window film, court banner, beach flag

Medium

1 to 5 m

As band, edge, flag or tile, not as full surface

Notice in the hallway (A4/A3), indoor poster, roll-up, stand, showcard

Near

under 1 m

Accent only (keyword, icon, highlight box), white or black ground

Flyer, postcard, form, offer sheet, insert

Check: if the carrier has body copy or more than one message, it is not "far", regardless of format. An A1 poster with three paragraphs is medium. Type on yellow is black at every tier.

Mandatory small print on large formats

Applies to mandatory notices on posters, banners, shop windows and POS: discount exclusions, asterisk explanations, terms of participation. The values are rules of thumb; the final wording on large formats still goes through legal review.

01

At least 1/10 of the eye-catcher: the cap height of the mandatory notice is at least one tenth of the cap height of the main message.

02

Around 3 mm cap height per meter of reading distance. A poster read from 3 m therefore needs about 9 mm cap height in the mandatory notice.

03

Never smaller than the other functional text on the same carrier.

04

Placed close to the eye-catcher, so that message and restriction are read together.

05

The real size counts. If it is not known, it is calculated back from the finished layout and the final format, not estimated on screen.

06

A footnote specifies, it does not contradict. "ALL BRANDS" with an asterisk that excludes brands cannot be fixed, however large the notice. In that case the main message has to change.

Part C · Packaging

Packaging is the most detached context: no profile picture, no header, no visual system around it. The brand must stand on its own through wordmark, typography and color system.
