Motion

Internal updates, explainer videos, intros and end cards for our own channels. Motion carries the brand through typography, timing and sound, not decoration.

Basic rules

01

Headlines in Courtside Sans Bold, capitals only. URLs and body copy in Roboto Bold.

02

Black and white as the base, TP Yellow as the accent. Yellow areas only as a short signal, always with black text on them.

03

Hard corners, no lines, no frames, no shadows. The lines around DEUCE on the home page are web decoration and do not carry over into motion.

04

On black, use the logo version with the white outline, never recoloured. Wordmark and text sit as a left-aligned block on the ink edge.

05

Text slides into its line from below through a mask or wipes in with a clip path. Quick in, then hold still, movement on the beat of the music.

Building blocks

Intro

Approved

Three phases: the topic large on a yellow signal area, then the contents of the video on the beat, then the block of wordmark, title and subline, left-aligned. The music plays at full level.

End card

Approved

Wordmark and title left-aligned, the links below, the Tennis-Point line on a yellow signal block. At the end the block clears away and a large closing word appears.

Transition Wait a minute

Variant

For a narrative break between two recordings. The picture freezes, the headline is centred, a yellow flash leads into the next recording. Not a standard transition.

Open

Chapter card

Open

Marks a change of topic and sits on the first sentence of the new topic. The form is open: the current black block at the bottom left is a placeholder and should become less blocky.

The last frame of a graphic matches the first frame of the following recording exactly, so there is no jump.

Sound

Music tells the story too

When the story breaks, the music stops hard with a needle scratch. Then a remix of the same song comes in. The melody stays recognisable, the change of style is the punchline.

Background music

Instrumental, warm and unobtrusive, with groove, without drama. Basic direction lo-fi hip hop with jazzy chords and soft piano. For a change of mood, a remix of the same track, not a different song.

Sound punchlines

Where the content invites it, a short effect comments on what is said, comparable to ad-libs in rap. Right after the cue word, quieter than the voice, never over a key message.

Levels

The voice leads. Music clearly quieter under speech, at full level without speech. A fade is finished before the first word comes, and the music only comes up after the last.

Face cam

In the original version the face cam runs throughout, it carries the personal touch. In translated versions only at the beginning and the end, lip-synced there, with the screen without camera in between.

AI labelling

If the video contains an AI voice, AI translation or AI lip-sync, the EU label stays in the same top corner throughout, top right by default.
